Sam Achampong is a passionate advocate for transforming the perception of procurement within organizations. Currently serving as the Regional Director for Asia, Australasia, the Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) at CIPS – The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, Sam works tirelessly to help organizations recognize procurement as a strategic, rather than a transactional, function.

With extensive experience in senior procurement and strategic sourcing roles, Sam has worked with leading organizations such as Land Securities in the UK, Abu Dhabi Municipality and Majid Al Futtaim in the Middle East, and MTN across Africa. Through these experiences, Sam has witnessed how procurement is often overlooked when shaping business strategy, and he is committed to reshaping that narrative.

He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (FCIPS) and a University of Oxford Business School alumnus.

As a prominent speaker at industry events, Sam shares valuable thought leadership on how procurement can drive business growth, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
